Here's what you'll find on the Nov. 8 election ballot

Several Ada and Liberty Township issues on the ballot, in addition to national and state decisions

Ada and Liberty Township voters’ will cast ballots on a wide range of  local, state and national candidates and issues on Tuesday, Nov. 8.

The Icon provides the following information about voting.

You may vote early at the Hardin County Board of Elections, located in the Hardin County Court House, Kenton on the following schedule:

• Saturday, Nov. 5, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• Sunday, Nov. 6, 1 to 5 p.m.
• Monday, Nov. 7, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Tuesday, Nov. 8, general election voting hours are 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The following includes issues specific to Ada and Liberty Township.

PROPOSED TAX LEVY (RENEWAL)
Ada Public Library

A majority affirmative vote is necessary for passage.
A renewal of a tax for the benefit of the Ada Public Library for the purpose of current expenses at a rate not exceeding 1 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.10 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing in 2017, first due in calendar year 2018.

PROPOSED TAX LEVY (REPLACEMENT)
THE PARK DISTRICT OF LIBERTY TOWNSHIP

A majority affirmative vote is necessary for passage.
A replacement of a tax for the benefit of the Park District of Liberty Township, for the purpose of defraying the expenses of improving and maintaining the free public park at a rate not exceeding 1.5 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.15 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for 5 years, commencing 2017, first due in calendar year 2018.

Shall the sale of wine and mixed beverages be permitted by Automated Petroleum, Inc., DBA Ada Express Mart an applicant for a C-2 liquor permit, who is engaged in the business of the operation of operating a carry-out/grocery store at 602 N. Main Street, Ada, Ohio 45810 in this precinct?

Main Street, Ada, Ohio 45810 in this precinct?
