111th annual Ada HS Interclass Competition Friday
The 111th annual Ada High School Interclass Competition takes place at 7 p.m., Friday, March 17, in the school auditorium.
Sophomores, juniors, and seniors will compete in the areas of short story, dramatic reading, poetry, and essay. Intermission entertainment is by the Ada staff and Ada High School senior class, as well as refreshments provided by the Ada Academic Boosters.

Shout out to Mrs. Thaxton's 8th grade and Mr. Faine's 7th grade advisories on winning their grade level for the Table Test Challenge Day. The students came up with some very creative and effective designs.
STUDENT COUNCIL: is sponsoring a blood drive on Thursday, March 23, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m in the 1986 gym. The signup sheet is in the high school office. See Mrs. Smith or Mrs. Bowden with any questions. The goal is 35 donors.
HIGH SCHOOL BOOK CLUB: will meet Friday, March 24, during lunch to discuss Everything Everything. Junior High students who are interested in meeting this month need to see Mrs. Smith to confirm attendance for a meeting time before school. Be sure to read the book before you see the movie.
CHEERLEADING TRYOUTS: Ada Junior High and High School football and basketball cheerleader tryouts for the 2017-2018 school year will be Sunday, April 2nd at 5 p.m. A mandatory clinic to learn tryout material is Sunday, March 26. Packets are in the high school office. The packet has study material that will be on the test.
The Beta Club will hosting study tables for any 7th or 8th grade students who need help with homework, studying, or getting caught up on missing assignments before the end of the quarter. Beta Club members will serve as tutors. The Study Tables will be Thursday, March 16, from 3:30-4:15 p.m. in Mrs. Thaxton's room. See Mrs. Thaxton with any questions.
