Lancer golfers win tri-match

VAN WERT - Lincolnview won a four-team golf match of Northwest Conference foes Monday evening at the Hickory Sticks course.

 

The Lancers totaled 171 strokes to beat Crestview (196), Delphos Jefferson (206) and Ada (236).

 

Ada was led by freshman Brevin Sizemore, who shot a nine-hole score of 54. Alex Morgan carded a 58 to finish second for the Bulldogs. Junior Austin Amburgey posted a 60 and Ethan Hull registered a 64.

 

Jake Colwell shot 70 and Rob Allison added a total of 72.

 

Ryan Moody of Lincolnview was match medalist wth a low total of 39, followed by Crestview's Brett Schumm with a score of 43.

 

The Lancers improved to 7-5 in the NWC with the win over Crestview, who is now 10-11 overall and 6-7 in the NWC. DJ moves to 11-12 overall and 5-8 in the NWC.

 

Ada (1-22, 0-12 NWC) plays at league foe Paulding in a tri-match Thursday, September 14.

Bulldog boys double up Lakers

INDIAN LAKE - The visiting Ada boys soccer team defeated Indian Lake 4-2 Monday evening under the lights.

 

Following their fourth consecutive win, the Bulldog record improved to 5-1 overall. The Lakers fell to 1-5 with the loss.

 

Brayan Casiano netted two goals to pace the purple and gold offense. Nate Allen scored once and dished out one assist. Logan Williams tallied the other Ada goal.

 

Chris Reyes passed out one assist and Ace Gamble made two saves in goal as Ada out-shot IL, 9-4.

 

E. Parker scored both Laker goals.

 

Ada (3-1 road) plays at Upper Sandusky Thursday, Sept. 14 at 5 p.m.
