Over 180 vendors and growing!

Saturday's 32nd Harvest and Herb Festival is huge

Saturday’s Harvest and Herb Festival stretches all the way from the First United Methodist Church, just north of Highland Avenue…all the way to Lehr Avenue.

And not counting this week, over 180 vendors were already registered, making this one of the largest-ever festivals.

To summarize the festival –

• 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Festival hours
• 9 a.m. – Parade forms at high school
• 10 a.m. – Parade passes through Main Street
• Noon – Color guard raising the flag
     Singing of “The National Anthem”
     Introducing and naming the 2017 Festival queen
12:45  to 4 p.m. – Entertainment in the depot park

Queen candidates

Each of the candidates is an Ada High School senior. They are, from left to right, in the photo:
• Caitlyn Stover, daughter of Curt and Amy Stover.
• Lyric Jones, daughter of Scott and Bridgette Jones.
• Madison Preston, daughter of John and Christa Preston.
• Nikki Lehsten, daughter of David Lehsten and Michele Giddens.

These girls completed three essays and participated in a panel interview for this honor, according to Arlene Allison, who chairs the contest.
