ADA — The Ohio Northern women's soccer team showed another strong defensive effort as it played to a 0-0 draw with No.22-ranked Carnegie Mellon (Pa.) on Saturday evening at Kerscher Stadium.

The Polar Bears move to move to 2-1-1 overall, while the Tartans move to 3-0-1.

Sophomore goalkeeper Meagan Grierson (Miamisburg) led the way for Northern in the contest as she recorded seven saves.

After being shutout 9-0 in shots in the first half, Northern would get two shots in the second half to put pressure on the CMU defense.

The Tartans won the corner kick battle by a 4-2 margin.

Northern will return to action on Wednesday evening at 4:30 as it hosts Denison in the first contest of a double-header with the ONU men's soccer team.
