Blanchard Pleasant Buckeyes 4H meeting held

The Blanchard Pleasant Buckeye 4-H Club met Monday evening at the Hardin Northern School with 48 members, more than 20 guests, and 9 advisors present. The meeting opened with the Pledge of Allegiance led by Heidi Trachsel and the 4-H pledge led by Emori Criner. Roll call was answered by naming your favorite fast food place.  New members received green folders to keep all the handout materials together.

Handouts included 2018 Meeting Fact Sheet, officer applications (due at this meeting), member applications, county 4-H calendars and Family Guides.  Business included announcing that the county was providing insurance for each 4-H member and advisor through a grant. Dues will be set at the next meeting.

Goals are that each member will attend at least five meetings and complete their project(s) taken. For a community tour the club will visit the Harvest Pride chip factory in Ada.  Upcoming meetings will be announced by email and facebook.

The getting-to-know-one-another was conducted in groups with the various advisors.  A scavenger hunt of the Family Guide was conducted by Bob McBride. Trivia was given by Alyssa Heldman.  The next meeting is March 26th at 7:00 p.m.

Motion to adjourn was moved by Emma Miller and seconded by Heidi Trachsel.

The group prayed the Lord’s Prayer to close. Refreshments were provided by the McBrides.
