There will be snacks, live music from ONU's marching band, a food truck, face painting and corn hole from 1-4 p.m. Local merchants have been invited to to sell products during the event as well.

The cost to walk/run is $20, and includes a free t-shirt. All the money raised goes to juvenile diabetes research. This is the second year for the event, with last year's total reaching $2,000. This year's goal is $2,500.

JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) goals for those with Type 1 diabetes are:

Your blood glucose levels can be controlled automatically;

You can sleep, eat, exercise, and live as if T1D is not in your life;

T1D can be cured and is no longer present in your body;

T1D can be prevented and never threaten anyone again.
