By Cort Reynolds

CONVOY - The visiting Ada softball team lost 8-2 at Crestview in a key Northwest Conference softball contest Thursday evening.

The first-place Lady Bulldogs fell to 8-3 this season and 3-1 in the tightly-contested NWC after initial league defeat. The Lady Knights improved to 6-7 and 2-2 in the NWC after knocking Ada from the unbeaten league ranks.

The Lady Bulldogs trailed Crestview 3-0 after the first inning. Ada rallied within 3-2 with a pair of scores in the top of the third.

But then the Knights tallied one in the fourth, and they padded their cushion to six with four more runs in the fifth frame. Crestview held Ada scoreless over the final four innings.
