Bulldog boys track 2nd after day 1 at NWC meet

SPENCERVILLE - Ada competed well, especially in the boys field events, in the first day of the Northwest Conference track and field meet at Spencerville Thursday evening.

 

The Bulldog boys stand second behind only Columbus Grove after day one of competition, 45-30.5 points. Junior Noah Mattson won the shot put title to pace the Ada boys on the first day.

 

Sophomore Alex Morgan took second in the pole vault. Ada senior Zach Breidenbach finished fourth in the high jump. The Bulldog boys 4 x 800 relay quartet also came in third.

 

The Lady Bulldogs stand fifth among eight teams after day one with four points. The Ada girls 4 x 800 relay team came in fifth.
