SPENCERVILLE - The Ada boys finished a strong fourth and the Lady Bulldogs came in seventh out of nine teams at the two-day Northwest Conference track and field meet in Spencerville Thursday and Saturday.

Columbus Grove swept to both the boys and girls NWC team titles, winning a tight three-team race in the male standings.

The Grove boys narrowly out-pointed Bluffton 111-107 to win the conference crown. Lincolnview was a very close third at 106.5 points, followed by Ada in fourth (96). Allen East was seventh with 36 points.

CG far out-distanced host Spencerville, 202.5-112.5, to win the girls event going away. Lincolnview was third with 90 points. Ada tallied 30.5 to finish just ahead of eighth-place Allen East (24).
