For Red Cross swim lessons at the Ada Pool

American Red Cross swimming lessons will be held at the Ada Municipal Swimming Pool on July 16-20 (M-F) and July 23-27 (M-F).  Children ages 5 and older by July 16, 2018 and adults are welcome to sign-up for lessons. Saundra Neely, volunteer water safety instructor, will be in charge of the lessons.
 
The registration fee will be $3 per student. The program is limited to the first 75 students; and 25 students  per level.  Those interested are asked to complete the accompanying form for each swimmer with the $3 fee.  

Cash or checks (made out to Ada Kiwanis Club) are accepted.  Return the:
1. Registration form (completed),
2. $3 fee and 3. a self-addressed stamped envelope to Ada Kiwanis Club, c/o 1266 State Route 309, Ada, Ohio 45810.  Registrations must be postmarked no later than June 18.
 
Class times/skill levels are as follows:
 
9:30-10:10 am – Skill Levels 4: (Stroke refinements, breast, back, elementary back, side, butterfly with increased distance, endurance and water safety).
 
10:15-10:55 am-Skill Level 3 (Stroke refinements, back and front crawl strokes, introduce new strokes and skills, increased distance, endurance and water safety).
 
11:00-11:25 – Skill Level 2 (Includes back and front kicks, introduces new strokes/skills, refines front crawl and water safety).
 
11:30-Noon - Skill Level 1 (Includes underwater breathing, independent front and back floats, and introduces swimming strokes & skills and water safety).(If this level has a high number of requests a second class starting at noon to 12:30 may be added.)

Noon-12:30 - Skill Level 1 (a second class if needed) No choice, depends on registrations.
 
All 5 year olds will automatically be placed in the Level 1 class.  The instructor reserves the right to place any child in the appropriate level for their skills.
 
Neely is looking for assistance both in the water and on the deck.  Persons 12 years old and older, including adults, are needed to help during these two weeks.  People do not need to have previous swimming ability to assist.

A training session will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10. You be notified of the training location. People who can help or know of someone who can help may call 419-634-3786 for details and leave your name and telephone number.
