Ada runners 5th at Falcon meet

MT. BLANCHARD - The Ada cross country team finished a solid fifth out of 11 teams at the Riverdale Invitational Thursday evening.

Bulldog senior Miguel Jordan took fourth in the 119-runner field to pace Ada's strong showing. Jordan covered the 3.1-mile course in 18:17.22, 29 seconds behind the race winner.

Ada junior Michael Crouse came in 26th in 19:49.02 to finish second for the Bulldogs. Junior Hunter Wells followed him closely in 28th with a time of 19:51.2.

Ada sophomore Jacob Morgan came in 49th in 20:30.6. Freshman Riley Ferguson finished in 72nd place with a time of 22:20.28. Keegan Giddens ran fifth for the Bulldogs, coming in 97th in 24:43.86.

Senior Brice Ferguson ended up 115th in 29:00.83. The average Ada time was 20:09.67.

Hopewell-Loudon dominated the boys field, winning with just 22 points as they swept the top three individual spots. Elmwood was a distant second with 102 points, followed by Hardin Northern (134), McComb (142) and Ada (154).

Allen East came in 10th with 247 points.

Jordan Foster of H-L won the boys race in 17:48.33.

Carey won the six-team girls title with 41 points, nosing out Hopewell-Loudon (47).

Ada freshman Lauren Mullins came in 26th amid the 57-runner field with a time of 26:26.33. Bulldog senior Alexis Ennis finished 34th in a time of 28:43.13.

Sarah Reinhart of Carey won the girls race with a time of 21:22.11.

Ada runs at the Galion Invitational Saturday at 9 a.m.
