Rhett Grant - the next chapter the Ada Public Library story

By Monty Siekerman
Meet the new Ada Public Library director. He's Rhett Grant, a soft spoken Southerner without the Southern drawl. The 45-year-old comes to Ada from a suburb of Atlanta.

Rhett grew up in Alabama and Michigan.

His library experience, too, is a combination of the South and Midwest. His most recent library job was head of adult services for a library in Clarkston, Mich.

No harm in being early.

While the 2016-17 school year is history, there's always next year. The end-of-the-year school newsletter has several items that look toward next school year.

One is the elementary supply list.

If your child failed to bring home the list, the Icon provides it in an attachment below below. You'll find supplies needed for Kindergarten, first, second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth grades.

The list includes everything from what color of pens needed for sixth graders to the size of crayon boxes needed for Kindergarteners.
