Ohio Governor-elect DeWine has many ONU connections

Ohio Northern law graduate's start was in Ada

Ohio Governor-elect Mike DeWine has many connections to Ohio Northern University, including:
• DeWine received his JD from the ONU law school in 1972.
• While a law student, DeWine participated in the Moot Court program and was the vice president of the Student Bar Association.
• By the time he attended law school, he was married with children.
• He received Distinguished Alumni Award from the law school in recognition of his legal service in 1985.
• Received an honorary doctorate from the university in 1995.
• Delivered the commencement address at the 2008 and 2017 law commencements.
• He was an adjunct professor of political science about a decade ago.

At the midterm election on Tuesday, DeWine carried all 21 precincts in Hardin County.
