Police clerk's office will merge with water and sewer clerk's office

Change takes place on Dec. 24

The Ada Police Clerk’s office will merge with the Ada Water and Sewer Clerk’s Office as of Monday, Dec. 24, acccording to Michael Harnishfeger, police chief.

This will allow customers the ability to access services from one location in the village offices.

The central/combined clerk’s offices will be located in the current water/sewer office in the Ada Municipal Building with normal business hours of Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Beginning next week, customers will be able to pick up police reports, accident reports, request house checks, golf cart inspections, pay parking tickets and access other police services through the central clerk’s office. The doors to the previous police clerk’s office will be closed permanently.

The police department’s telephone system will remain the same. Customers requesting police service or information will still dial 419-634-0010 where they will receive the option of speaking with the Hardin County Dispatcher or the local Ada Police Clerk.

Option #1 will lead the caller to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office who will dispatch an officer to your location while Option #2 will lead the caller to our local clerk to speak with police administration or to request records and/or general police information.

As always, in case of an emergency callers should dial 911 for emergency services.
