Biker Strong holds two local fundraisers

Two local fundraisers and one special event involve the local Biker Strong Association, according to Keara Downing.

April 14 Blessing of the bikes
The first-ever blessing of the bikes is at noon, Sunday, April 14, at 701 N. Main St., Alger. Smoking Joe Carl will officiate. All bikes receive a free memorabilia decal.

April  14 benefit for Rowen
Following this is an event at The Roadhouse, 19570 County Road 230, Mt. Victory, to benefit Rowen, a 3-year-old who is battling cancer.

All of the proceeds from the event go to Rowen and his family. A non-rider dinner starts the event and a 4 p.m. Easter egg hunt follows.

May 18  Noise of Thunder for Noah
The  association plans a “Noise of Thunder for Noah,” fundraiser  on Saturday, May 18, in Mt. Victory. All proceeds go to Noah.

Noah is a 10-year-old boy battling cancer. A fundraiser starts with registration at 10 a.m. at The Roadhouse, Mt. Victory. The first bikes will go out at noon.

The cost is $10 per rider and $15 with a passenger. The cost includes a meal for riders, (meal donation required for passengers).

The event includes 50/50 drawing, raffles, pull tabs, music and free giveaways at each stop.

Biker games include Biker Strong basketball, animal pick-up, slow race and weenie bite. Plaques go the first place in these events.

There is also a corn hole tournament and tent camping is available.
