TIFFIN - One of five Ada track and field regional qualifiers competed in day one of the Div. III meet at Tiffin's Hoernemann Stadium Wednesday evening.

Bulldog junior Alex Morgan finished 14th in the 300 hurdle preliminaries to miss out on regional finals qualification Friday. Bluffton's Xavier Dunifon finished first in the 300 hurdle prelims.

Ada senior Noah Mattson (shot put), junior Philip Gautier (high jump), junior Nora Dellifield (pole vault) and senior Miguel Jordan (800) will compete Friday in finals for a chance to advance to the state meet.

Mattson was the district champion last weekend in Findlay despite a six-week layoff due to a knee injury. The other Bulldogs all finished third in their events at districts.

A top-four finish at regionals will qualify an athlete to the state meet in Columbus next weekend.
