I can see clearly now
Bernie Mackey and his wife, Brenda, help people see clearly.
The Mackeys, with the Ada Lions Club, have collected used eyeglasses in the Ada community and beyond for about 10 years.
These eyeglasses are collected from people who have dropped old glasses off at local collection sites.
These collection sites iinclude Eyes on Main, VFW, Ada Public Library, Kenny's Barbershop, Keith's Hardware, Reichert's, Ada Visiting Nurses and Shawnee Optical.
After picking up the glasses at these various sites Bernie and Brenda take them to Vosh Ohio in Pandora, an eyeglass sorting site.
Volunteers then sort the donated glasses by correction strength and repurpose them to ship all over the world.
