September is more than just back to school

Ada chamber updates viewers on Harvest and Herb Fest' plus other September happenings

The Ada Area Chamber of Commerce reminds Icon viewers that it it Harvest and Herb Festival time this month.

"We have a free kids' area set up at the Depot Park from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.," said Heather Cox, chamber board president.

"There will be a 38-foot inflatable obstacle course, free pony rides, free professional face painting and crafts, she said.

"We will also have a Chamber table that will have some of our brochures, forms for next year’s booth space and some posters to sell.

That's not all that involves the Ada chamber and its members in September:
Sept. 10 – Grand re-opening of Restore at 3:30 p.m. Stop by to learn the new rebranding name and exciting things to come.

Sept. 14 – The Inn at ONU – Around the World Wine Sampling – 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Sept. 18 – Ada Area Chamber of Commerce membership meeting, 8 a.m. at the Ada Public Library. Free breakfast.

Sept. 21 –  Harvest and Herb Festival – Booths open at 9 a.m., parade at 10 a.m. and kid’s area at 11 a.m. For information and forms for a booth and parade, please visit our website at www.adachamber.org.

Monthly Community Events
• Ada Food Pantry (basement of First Presbyterian Church of Ada)
Tuesdays 4-6 p.m.; Saturdays 10 a.m-noon

Free community meals
• Crock Pot Tuesdays, ReStore, 4-6 p.m.
• Community Lunch Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday ReStore 11-1 p.m.
• Last Wednesday of every month, St. Mark Lutheran Church, 5-6:30 p.m.
• First Sunday of every month, St. Mark Lutheran Church, (follows 9  a.m. worship)

Bingo at Center on Central every Thursday, supporting the Ada Music Boosters and Ada-Liberty Fire Department. Doors open 5:30 p.m. Bingo at 7 p.m.
