COVID-19 update from Village of Ada

Accessing the municipal building and more info

The following notice is from the Village of Ada website:

The goal of the municipal office of the Village of Ada continues to be the management of the needs of the public while protecting the health and safety of our employees and the general public.

Our staff continues to work regular office hours to meet the needs of our residents, customers and the general public.

In the interest of the health and safety of our employees and the public, we have decided to close the  Municipality Building to general public foot traffic until further notice. The police department lobby door will remain open and the office can be reach using the phone that is in the lobby.

When you call the water office at 419-634-4045 during our regular business hours of 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, you will still  be able to do many of the things you would have been able to do in person.

By speaking with an office/police clerk (option 1 on the automated system), you can ask questions about your water bill, payment options, turning water services on and/or off, report a street department need, etc.

Water bill payments are due April 10th to avoid late charges and we have a variety of methods for you to make that payment:

1) Credit/Debit card payments: Use our secure payment portal by clicking here.  You can also call the water office during normal business hours to make the payment over the phone.

2) For the water bill payment due beginning May 10th: Sign up to have your monthly payment automatically debited from your bank account.  Contact a member of our office staff to obtain the necessary paperwork.

3) Checks and money orders: Check and money order payments may be placed in our secure dropbox, which is located at the west end of the Ada Depot parking lot.  The dropbox can be accessed from S. Johnson Street using the Depot parking lot, or from S. Main Street by using the drive between the Railroad Park and Liberty National Bank.

4) Cash: If a cash payment is your only option, please enter the Municipal Building through the Police Department Lobby door and call the office using the phone provided and a staff member will assist you.

You may also utilize the "Contact Us" feature on our website for non emergency needs.

We look forward to the opportunity to continue to serve you as we all work through this unprecedented time.  We appreciate your patience!

Please continue to take the precautions as outlined by the Ohio Department of Health and CDC:

• Stay home when you are sick.

• Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds; dry hands with a clean towel or air dry hands.

• Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer when soap and water are unavailable.

• Cover your mouth with a tissue or sleeve when sneezing or coughing.

• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.

• Avoid contact with people who are sick.

• Clean “high-touch” surfaces daily. These include counters, tabletops, doorknobs, light switches, bathroom fixtures, toilets, phones, keyboards, desks, and tablets

• CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies) especially in areas of significant community-based transmission.
