More ONU athletic All-Americans

Senior Maggie Krause (Chagrin Falls/Kenston) and sophomores Andrew Buderer (Oak Harbor) and Nate Dean (Euclid/Villa Angela Saint Joseph) have been named All-America in Indoor Track & Field for 2020 by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

Normally, the top eight finishers in each event earn All-America honors by the NCAA.

As this year's NCAA III Indoor Track & Field Championships were canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic, the USTFCCCA is giving its own All-America honors to all athletes that had initially qualified for the championships as announced by the NCAA on Sunday, March 8.

Krause is a two-time NCAA All-American in the pole vault and was about to make her fourth NCAA Championships appearance.

She won the 2019 and 20220 Ohio Athletic Conference titles and ends her career as a five-time All-Region and All-Conference honoree.

Buderer was set to make his first NCAA Championships appearance in the pole vault after winning the OAC indoor crown this February.

Dean is a two-time NCAA Championships qualifier and was entered to compete in the 200-meter dash. Last season, he finished 17th in the 400-meter dash at the championships.

He set the ONU record in the 200 as he earned All-OAC honors in :22.09. He was also All-Conference in the 400 this winter and is a three-time All-Conference honoree.
