STEM, Pharmacy and Rock ‘n’ Roll summer camp registration

Provided by Ohio Northern University

ONU has a full slate of academic, music, and athletic camps for students in middle school and high school for summer 2024. The following opportunities are available:

Pathways to STEM Camp will be offered June 9-13, 2024. Open to students entering their junior or senior year, this camp will give students the opportunity to explore different areas related to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).  

Pharmacy Camp will be offered June 9-13, 2024. The camp, which is open to students entering their junior or senior year, includes hands-on experiences that will expose them to a vast array of pharmacy disciplines.

Agenda for Apollo board of education, April 29

Apollo Career Center has issued this AGENDA for the regular board meeting scheduled for Monday, April 29, 2024, at 7 p.m.  The meeting will be held in Apollo's Board room.

LSO joins consortium presenting new works by women composers

The Lima Symphony Orchestra has been selected as one of thirty orchestras nationwide to participate in a program premiering and programming works by women composers. The LSO will program the work by composer Chelsea Komschlies. 

Bulldogs softball wins 7th straight, defeats Redskins

ADA __ The Ada High School softball team rode a big inning and two-hit pitching to defeat visiting Arcadia 6-1 in a non-conference contest Friday evening, April 26.

The Bulldogs improved to 12-2 overall with their seventh consecutive win. Arcadia fell to 7-7 after the loss.

“It was nice to get them after we lost to Arcadia the last two years,” said third-year Ada head coach Jeff Bassitt. “Jenna pitched a good game.”

Ada junior pitcher Jenna Bassitt hurled a complete-game two-hitter to win her 11th game in 13 decisions. She struck out 14 Redskins.

Bulldog baseball loss to Arcadia
