$4,800 CARES Act funds will to to ambulance district

Action anticipated in tonight's council meeting

Ada village intends to share $4,800 of the $298,000 it receives from CARES Acts funding with Ada-Liberty Joint Ambulance District for its use for expenses due to COVID-19.

The action is on tonight’s council agenda. The agenda is attached to this story.

Council will also act on authorizing 2021 dollar amounts for select benefits of village employees as outlined in its policy and procedure manual.

Jamie Hall, village administrator, said this is required because the village removes dollar amounts from the policy and procedure manual for auditing compliance purposes. The list with dollar amounts is attached at the bottom of this story.

The village employee Christmas party did not take place this year due to covid-19. In keeping with previous holiday seasons, council will act tonight to provide 24 Christmas gift certificates to employees of $100 each to Community Market.

In lieu of the annual Christmas party, council will also act on a motion to provide each employee with a $25 gift certificate to the Ada restaurant to the employee’s choosing.

In action from the most recent council meeting, not previously reported on the Icon, council passed the first reading of the 2021 annual appropriations ordinance.

It also extended deadline  for operating public meetings electronically.

Chief Harnishfeger reported the body cameras and in car cameras have been received and will be installed by next Tuesday.
