Poling, Hissong named to all-district soccer teams

Freshman Ella Marshall named honorable mention

Three Ada soccer players, Jacob Poling, Brenna Hissong  and Ella Marshall earned all-district honors. Details follow:

Jacob Poling
Ada senior forward Jacob Poling was voted first team all-district for Div. III in boys soccer recently by the Northwest Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association.

Poling scored 36 goals this season to help the Bulldogs finish 10-9. He also set a program single-game record with eight goals  in the regular season finale vs. Tiffin Calvert.

Poling led Ada to second place in the Northwest Conference with a 4-1 record and was named first team all-league as well. 

Allen East senior Braelin Houston was named second team all-district.

AE juniors Silas Gillespie and Ashton Neff were named honorable mention all-district. The Mustang boys finished 7-9-2 overall and 2-3 in the NWC, good for fourth place in the league.

Ada senior midfielder Brenna Hissong was voted second team all-district in Div. III girls soccer by the Northwest Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association.

Versatile four-time all-league pick Hissong led the Lady Bulldogs to a 4-12 overall finish. Ada registered a 2-4 record in Northwest Conference play to end up in fifth place.

Ada freshman Ella Marshall was named honorable mention all district in Div. III. 

AE senior Kyleigh Rumer and Mustang sophomore Emma Tobe were also voted honorable mention all district. AE finished 3-12-2 overall and 1-3-2 in the NWC, good for sixth place.
