Pat Archer worked for Ford Motor Company

Patrick “Pat” Michael Archer, 50, the most genuine soul you will ever know, was called Home on November 3, 2021.

Patrick was a miracle and immediately blessed his father and mother, Barry and Suzanne Archer of Harrod, on February 18, 1971.

He has said that he barely graduated from Allen East High School in 1989 where he was active in FFA and 4-H.  He was on the football team wearing his number 69 but didn’t play much and was ok with that because that meant that someone else had their chance to shine.  He took pride in showing sheep and helping on the farm.  Having his own farm was a lifelong dream that was never truly realized.

In 2000, not a moment too soon, he met the love of his life, his best friend, and his soul mate, Mary, at one of his softball games.  They say it was love at first sight.  Their first date was during the Harrod Pork Rind Festival where he also met her children Drew and Ian.

Patrick and Mary made forever official on September 22, 2001 when they were married in Harrod on a perfectly beautiful fall day.  They became a family that day when he said “I do” as a husband and to be the dad he didn’t have to be to Drew and Ian.  Patrick and Mary recently celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary.

Patrick and Mary were blessed with the most important responsibility of being the parents to Drew (Rachel Wulf) Crabtree, Ian Crabtree, Madison Melissa, Luke Allen, Colt Patrick, and Elizabeth Suzanne.  He was extremely proud of each one of his children and would tell anyone and everyone he could when given the opportunity.

Patrick was truly a “mama’s boy” to Suzanne Archer.  His father Barry preceded him in death in 2019.  He was “baby brother” to Brian (Kerri) Archer and Andrea (Dennis) Ellerbrock.

He was “Uncle Pat” to several nieces and nephews he adored.

He was “Pat Daddy” to all of his children’s many friends.

He and his family are faithful members of the Ada Family Center in Ada.

Patrick always said that “I get to go to work” thankful that he had a good job to go to.  For 18 ½ years he gave his all to Ada Technologies in Ada and to Ford Motor Company Lima Engine Plant for the last six years in the skilled trade of machine repair.

Patrick never met a stranger and if he knew you, you were family.  He went above and beyond to help anyone at any time even when he hadn’t gotten any sleep from working midnights.  He was a man of his word, would light up a room with his smile, and loved with his whole being.  He was thoughtful, caring, compassionate, so smart, loving, funny, passionate, and a really bad speller.

Patrick had a faith in God that is envied and did his very best to live and lead by example but also recognizing all the ways he failed and always trying to do better.  He felt his purpose in this life was to provide for his family and made so many sacrifices to make sure that happened.  Taking care of his loved ones and friends was most important to him.

Patrick loved without hesitation, without resistance, without reservation, and without prejudice.  His love was genuine, sincere, and perfect and was such a blessing to whomever was privileged to experience it.

He’s one of the good ones.

He is passionately loved and will be missed more than words can describe.
