Pianist Nicholas Roth performs in Ada on April 14

On Friday evening, April 14, guest artist Nicholas Roth will present a piano recital at 8:00 p.m. in Snyder Recital Hall in Presser Hall on the campus of ONU. Mr. Roth will perform works by Bach, Busoni, Schumann, Scriabin, Blumenfeld, Barbour, and Griffes.

Mr. Roth is a Professor of Piano at Drake University. He has recorded for the Blue Griffin, Naxos, MSR Classics & Innova recording labels. His recording with Blue Griffin has garnered excellent reviews from International Record Review, Gramophone, Fanfare, and American Record Guide.

Mr. Roth recently participated in a performance of the Hexaméron for six pianos and orchestra in Baku, Azerbaijan. He was featured on A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor and collaborated with Robert Spano in a performance of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue. Roth is the founder of the Drake University Keys to Excellence Piano Series, featuring renowned artists worldwide.
