Ada Icon attains accredited business status with Better Business Bureau

"We want to assure customers and potential customers that we are a trusted advertising source"

The Ada Icon and Bluffton Icon are now an accredited business with the Better Business Bureau, according to Fred Steiner, Icon owner.

“We want to assure our advertising customers and potential customers that the Icons are trusted advertising sources and that we have a high standard of business practice,” he said.

He added that by being a BBB member the Icons will pass along information to viewers about scams and other sources that assist consumers.

Tommy Tire rebate offer through Nov. 15

Tommy's Truck and Tractor Sales, 3032 State Route 309, Ada, has a tire rebate offer now through Nov. 15, according to Tom Dotson.

Baylifft Gym and Box open house Saturday

Dunkirk facility has fall class signups underway

Baylifft Gym and Box, 23535 Township Road 68, Dunkirk, hosts an open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 23.

The open house includes give-aways, drawings, door prizes and other special activities. Drawings are hourly throughout the day. See the display ad at the bottom of this story.

Visitors may tour the facility during the open house. Special events taking place include:

• 10 a.m. – Free community WOO
• Noon  - Clean eating seminar
• 2 p.m. – Free Olympic lifting seminar

Family music for babies to 5-year-olds - newest class at Miss Vicki's Music Studio

Family music for babies to 5-year-olds is coming to Miss Vicki's Music Studio in Ada on Sept. 21.

Vicki Mills, studio owner said, "Make music as a family! This new section of music class is for parents,guardians and children under the age 5 to 6.

"Classes are action-packed with singing, dancing, listening, playing instruments, and are a joyful time of making music together."

These new classes are from 6:40 - 7:10 p.m. on Thursday evenings.  Cost for one child is $175 and siblings are discounted. 

Twisted Whisk Cafe, Bluffton coffee shop, now open until 7 p.m.

There’s great news for Ada coffee lovers.

Twisted Whisk Café, 101 S. Main St., Bluffton, announced it is extending it hours.

The popular downtown meeting place is now open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Sam Erter, one of the of café’s partners, said that the owners are very happy to be able to expand hours from 5 to 7 p.m.

Erter and Jessi and Luke Davis purchased the coffee shop and building this spring from previous owners, Phil and Sharon Zimmerly.
