Gospel sing Sept. 17 at Church of Christ

Ada Church of Christ hosts a gospel sing from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 17, at the church, 316 S. Main St.

The event features: Sandy and Kaylene, Randy Long, Rita Motter, Wayne T. Vaugh, Blair Rohrbaugh and Anthony Cooper.

A free-will offering will benefit ReStore Community Center.

Quilt raffle tickets available at First United Methodist

First United Methodist invite persons attending the Harvest and Herb Festival for lunch from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the church, 301 N. Main St., Ada.

The festival is Saturday, Sept. 17.

Tickets will be available for a queen-size quilt raffle. Tickets are $2 each or three for $5.

Tickets are available from women of the church or at the church office, 419-634-4626.

Proceeds from tickets sales support missions.

Bethel Church of Christ has back-to-school "Urge" event Aug. 21

A free event, titled Urge 2016, open to youth from junior high through college age takes place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 21 at Bethel Church of Christ just north of Ada.

The focus  is to encourage students ( to do well in the upcoming school year and to urge them to be who God wants them to be in their schools. 

URGE features Courtnee Morris as the guest speaker along with the Mike Lee Band (Worship) from Fort Wayne, SafeKept (Christian Rock) from Columbus and B List Boys (Christian Hip Hop) from Bluffton.

Alger Assembly of God WTGN Church of the Week

Alger Assembly of God will be WTGN Church of the Week on Sunday, Aug 7.

The radio station will broadcast the 10:30 a.m. service live on 97.7 FM in Lima, 98.7 FM in Findlay, and 105.1 FM in Kenton.

Pastor Mark Andreasen will be on the prayer time devotionals from 9:05 until 9:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, Aug. 8-12.

Backpack blessings July 30 at USV

Alger First United Methodist Church will sponsor a Backpack Blessings from 9 a.m. until noon on Saturday, July 30, at USV Schools.

Alger Assembly of God Church is cooperating with the project.

Schools supplies such as boxes of tissues, index cards, markers, and pens, will be passed out to USV children.

Cave Quest VBS theme at Alger Assembly of God

Children sing songs and do hand motions during Alger Assembly of God VBS on Monday evening. About 120 youngsters and helpers were on hand for "Cave Quest" which runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. through Friday.
