Mustard Seed Cafe, Bluffton, back from vacation with regular hours

Mustard Seed Café 562 N. Main St. Bluffton, is back from vacation with regular hours (see website mustardseedcafebluffton.com).

For dinner Friday and Saturday 5-8, the regular menu is available and the following features are offered:

DINNER: Seafood Stuffed Shrimp
LIGHT PLATE: Lobster Ravioli with Caribbean Lime Crème
DESSERT: Key Lime Crepe Cake

Both wine and beer are now available at the café and on the outdoor patio.  Reservations are suggested for dinner:  567-226-1120.

Reservations taken for July 20 Maple Crest buffet

The next Maple Crest Senior Living, Bluffton, Sunday buffet is July 20, according to Daren Lee, director of Maple Crest.

The menu includes:
• Grilled flank steak with mushroom sauce
• Chicken florentine with pesto pasta
• Herb roasted red potatoes
• Fresh sauteed squash and zucchini
• Dinner rolls
• Sugar cream pie
• coffee and iced tea.

The buffet is in the Patio Room at Maple Crest from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is open to all adults 55 and older at a cost of $7.50 per person.

Fence enhances quaint vintage charm of Mustard Seed Cafe, Bluffton; here's this weekend's specials

You may have noticed that Mustard Seed Café, 562 N. Main St. Bluffton, now has a fence that encloses its patio areas. This is part of a state requirement in order to serve wine and beer in an outdoor setting.  The fence also enhances the quaint vintage charm of the train depot location.

The café now offers light fare that goes nicely with the new wine and beer selections. “Red and White Slates” consist of cheese, breads, meats, olives or fresh fruit served on a tile, paired with red or white wine.

Here's Mustard Seed Cafe Dad's Weekend features

Mustard Seed Café, 562 N. Main St. , Bluffton, will offer Dad a free dessert over Fathers’ Day Weekend—Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

In addition to the new summer menu, Mustard Seed will be offering the following features:
Brunch:  Bistro Steak & Eggs with red wine mushroom sauce
Dinner:  Filet Mignon with Bernaise Sauce and Pasta with Mussels

The cafe now serves wine and continues to serve craft beers. Over the weekend, the café will offer an expanded wine list, along with Mimosas, Bellinis and Sangria. “Slate Pairings” are new for the weekend, combining small food offerings on a tile with paired drinks. 

June full of special evenings at The Inn at ONU

Several special evening events at planned in June at The Inn at ONU, Ada. Here's the schedule:

* Every Friday night from 5 - 7:30 p.m. enjoy live jazz at The Inn's Just JazzInn!  Appetizer buffet begins at 5 p.m. with live music starting at 5:30 p.m. Reservations not required for Just JazzInn but are accepted.

*  June 12 - Food & Wine Pairing. 6:30 p.m.  Delicious courses paired perfectly with fine wines. Enjoy live music as well. It's a unique evening out with friends and family. Please call 419.772.2500.  $45.00 per person (plus tax/gratuity).

Ada McDonald's offers $1 Big Mac sandwiches during its Customer Appreciation Week

Ada McDonald’s is celebrating its guests with a Customer Appreciation Week, Monday, May 26, through Friday, May 30. The restaurant will feature a prize wheel on Monday and will offer $1 Big Mac sandwiches, Tuesday through Friday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“We want to celebrate our guests and create a great experience for them,” said Jessica Hall, local McDonald’s owner. “Our customer appreciation week is one way we accomplish that.”

The promotion is valid at the Ada McDonald’s only.
