Ada chamber meets November 15

The Ada Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly membership meeting on Wednesday, November 15.

The gathering takes place at 8:00 a.m. at the Ada Public Library, 320 N. Main St.

The speaker will be Maylene Deckling, owner of Nectar & Brie, who will talk about her experience in Hardin Leadership. She will discuss her class project and how it will benefit Ada and Hardin County.

The meeting breakfast sponsor is Beatitudes community center and thrift store, 210 N. Main St.

Beatitudes will host a Thanksgiving luncheon on November 11 from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Organizers note they are "Thankful for our great community and our veterans."

The event is eat in or drive up.

Nov 16 safety council meeting provides AED demonstration

In partnership with the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and Division of Safety and Hygiene, employers are encouraged to participate in Hardin County Safety Council to receive education, resources & networking with other safety conscious organizations. Enrolling in this program also allows for organizations to receive up to a 3% rebate on premiums upon completion of requirements.

Tonight's the night for tricks and treats, October 26

Village of Ada Trick or Treat will be on Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Be sure to turn your porch light on to indicate if you are ready for trick or treaters. Some area businesses have also indicated that they will be ready for drop-in guests.

The National Weather Service forecast is partly sunny, with a high near 75. Southwest wind 13 to 17 mph.

October 25 community meal at St. Mark Lutheran

St. Mark Lutheran will be hosting a Community Meal on Wednesday, October 25 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. The church is located at the corner of Lincoln and Johnson streets in Ada. 

The meal is Free and opened to the community.  As always, you may dine in, carry out, or drive up for curbside service. The October menu is chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, corn, fruit, and cookie. 

Organizers note, "Last month we served over 140 meals and this month we look forward to serving you.  See you there."

Spooky Monster Magic Show on October 24
