School board to meet

The next meeting of the Ada School board will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15, at the school.

ONU women's soccer receives OAC awards

The Ohio Northern women's soccer program hold a strong presence on this season's Ohio Athletic Conference awards listing announced Wednesday morning as the Polar Bears landed seven student-athletes on the 2018 All-OAC teams voted on by the league's 10 head coaches. 

 

Junior goalkeeper Meagan Grierson and sophomore defender Sydney Leshnak headlined the selections, both earning special awards from the league office. Grierson was named the OAC Goalkeeper of the Year while Leshnak received OAC Defender of the Year accolades.

 

One more time - fall sports

Ada Bulldog Facebook recognized the Ada youth cheerleading team, who spent the season learning about "exceeding expectations." Members paired up with varsity cheerleaders as "big sister" mentors. For more about this mentorship click here.

VFW official to speak at ONU Veterans Day ceremony

11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 12 at Lehr statue

Keith E. Harman will deliver remarks during a Veterans Day wreath-laying ceremony at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 12 at the Henry Solomon Lehr Statue at the front of the Ohio Northern University campus. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held in Presser Hall.
 

Young alumni receive Robinson award

Ohio Northern University alumni Elizabeth Ekole and Brendan Thompson are the latest recipients of the William L. Robinson Young Alumni Award from their alma mater. The award was established by the ONU Alumni Association to honor individuals who have graduated from the University in the last 15 years and who demonstrate passion and loyalty toward their profession, community and alma mater.
