Ada Family Center to change location

The Ada Family Center will have Sunday worship in McIntosh Center tomorrow, where they have met for the past four years. After that, they will meet at the Ada Theater for three weeks, then have a kickoff celebration at their new location, Center on Central. Worship time is 10:30 a.m.

Ada Seniors to meet

The Ada Senior Citizens have scheduled two activities for May.

 

They will lunch at the Plaza Restaurant on Wednesday, May 9. Be at Community Health Professionals at 11:15 a.m. to carpool.

 

Madonna Lawrence will have the program entitled “Our Mothers” at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23 at Community Health Professionals . Members may bring pictures or articles that they wish to share.

Beware of “Change of Address” scam, says Sheriff

The Hardin County Sheriff's Office was recently informed that a county resident was the target of a "Change of Address" scam. While the scam is not new, this is the first occurrence in the county, of which we are aware.  If you receive notice that the Postal Service has received a change of address request that you did not initiate you should contact the Post Office immediately!  The scam is explained in detail by the following report published in the June 2010 AARP BULLETIN.

Bulldogs win all 3 singles crowns

By dominating the singles flights, the Ada boys tennis team won the outright championship at the six-team Northern Buckeye Tennis League tournament in Defiance on a windy Friday.

The Bulldogs scored 13 points to defeat second-place Bryan (10). Wauseon was third with seven, followed by Archbold in fourth with six points. Rossford tallied two points and Defiance Ayersville was last with one point.

Ada players won the individual titles at the first, second and third singles flights to pave the way to the team championship. The title matches in each flight were played inside due to strong winds.

Ada’s Mackenzie Wills wins match for ONU

MIAMISBURG — Ohio Northern advanced to the finals of the 2018 Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Tournament with a thrilling 5-4 semifinals victory over Otterbein on Friday at the South Regency Tennis Center.

The second-seeded Polar Bears (19-6) advance to Saturday's finals to face top-seeded John Carroll at 10 am at the Lindner Tennis Center.

The third-seeded Cardinals end their season with a 15-6 record.

Both teams entered the match expecting a tight battle as the regular season contest went to ONU by a 5-4 score.
