It appeared to be a young cow, probably less than 6 months old on the way to an auction. It ran across Main by Quest Financial and First United Methodist Church, into a backyard on Highland where it was cornered.

The trailer owner placed a rope around the cow's neck and led it back into the trailer.

Introducing Ada's new musical combo

Meet Mike and the COP-per Tones

By Monty Siekerman
Get this: There is a new music group in town named Mike and the COP-per Tones, composed of cops, of course.

The ensemble performed Wednesday afternoon for Vancrest residents. The cops may be into heavy metal, rock and roll, punk, hip hop, hard rock, rap...we didn't ask.

They stuck to Christmas music Wednesday, their efforts appreciated with applause. Want to schedule them for your next gig? Call the police department.
