The Icon dog of the week - Hooch

This is Hooch. Hooch is a 3 year old female shepherd mix, She weighs 41 pounds. Can you offer Hooch a forever home?

To give a dog a forever home, contact the Hardin County dog shelter. It is located at 49 Jones Road on the west side of Kenton.

Hours: 9 am to 4 pm on Monday, Thursday, and Friday. Phone: 419-674-2209.

Generally, about 20 to 25 dogs are available for viewing.

The shelter is also the place to contact for giving up a dog, if you find a lost or stray dog, or if you come in contact with a vicious dog. It costs $20 to surrender a dog, which pays for deworming and immunizations for when it is rescued.

Another way to give in memory of Jaeger

The Ada Police Department has set up a GoFundMe for gifts in Jaeger's memory to go toward the purchase of a new K9; however, some people would rather make a donation without going on line.

The police department says they will be glad to accept donations in the office between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Go Fund Me enables persons to make online donations to projects. The following is from the Go Fund Me site. It explains the Ada police department's request for funding.

As of Friday, $480 had be raised toward a goal of $8,000.
