ONU Law hosts annual Goldman Lecture on April 3

The Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law will host its annual Goldman Lecture featuring acclaimed attorney Bobbi Sternheim, lead counsel in United States v. Ghislaine Maxwell and current counsel for music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs on Wednesday, April 3.

The event is free and open to the public and will be held in ONU’s Tilton Hall, Room 129 at 11 a.m. Her speech is titled, “Time Served: Reflections on a Career in Criminal Defense.” 

You Can't Beat the House! is spring AHS drama production

The Ada Drama Club has been working very hard in preparation for this year’s high school play, You Can’t Beat the House!

The cast will bring this hilarious story to the stage on April 5-7, 2024. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:00 p.m., and the Sunday show is at 3:00 p.m.

At 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday April 3 in the Dicke Forum, Phi Beta Delta, the honorary for international scholars will be hosting a talk by Shawnee Chief Ben Barnes.

Ada man faces felony charges including promotion of child sex trafficking

Media Release issued by the Grant County, Indiana, Sheriff's Office on April 1, 2024. Marion, Indiana is located 51 miles southwest of Fort Wayne.

On Saturday, March 30, the Grant County Sheriff's Office responded to a call from Predator Catchers Incorporated (PCI) in reference to a Dennis James Roth, 64, from Ada, Ohio, who travelled to Marion from Ohio in what he believed was prearranged meeting to pick up children under the age 14 for sexual exploitation.

Mr. Roth has been charged with the following crimes.

Mack McCurry, age 74, of Ada, passed away on Sunday, April 31, 2024, at his residence.
