Online wellness program set

Once again, the Hardin County Extension Service is offering a free online Live Healthy program designed to Improve physical activity, enjoy healthy foods, and practice a healthy lifestyle.

Those who sign up will receive two weekly e-communications from Ohio State University Extension containing science-based nutrition, health and wellness tips. The program begins April 10 and ends May 22.

Chorus concert set for March 24

The Ohio Northern University Men’s Chorus and Women’s Chorus will be in concert at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 24 in Presser Hall. The concert is free and open to the public. 

 The choruses will perform pieces from Ralph Vaughan Williams, Gwyneth Walker, Heinrich Schütz, Stephen Schwartz and Felix Mendelssohn among others. 

The Men’s Chorus is directed by Christopher Larsen, director of choral activities at ONU, and the Women’s Chorus is directed by Marilyn Roth Basinger, long-time area educator and lecturer in music at Ohio Northern

7 named Academic All-Conference in Women's Swimming & Diving for 2016-17 season

Seven members of the Ohio Northern women's swimming and diving team were named Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference for 2016-17.

Seniors Kelsey Brebberman (Maumee), Stacie Melody (Dublin/Jerome) and Molly Wheeler (Sylvania/Northview), juniors Maggie Dempster (Akron/Firestone), Kasey Mucher (Arlington, Tex./Oakridge) and Hailee Sautter (Mansfield/Lexington) and sophomore Kierra Watson (Brownsburg, Ind.) all received the honor.

He was one of four ONU Klondikes

Cody Meyer collected memories to last a lifetime

Even though Cody Meyer has only been Klondike for a little more than a year, the stories he’s collected and the memories he’s made will last a lifetime.

“Being Klondike has meant the world to me,” says the mechanical engineering major.

Cody is one of four seniors who are taking off the mask and publicly revealing who they are, something that is absolutely forbidden for them to do while they are active Klondikes.
