James W. Johnson 1929-2017

James W. Johnson, age 88, died on Wednesday, February 8 at 3:00am at his residence in McGuffey, Ohio.

He was born on January 29, 1929 in McGuffey, Ohio to the late Glenn and Nona Lee (West) Johnson. On August 13, 1950 James married Katherine J. “Kack” Risner, they were married for 66 years, she survives in McGuffey.

Sally Bosse had worked in ONU Registrar's Office

Sarah H. "Sally" (Hay) Bosse, age 91, went home to be with the Lord her Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, at 8:15 a.m. at Vancrest of Ada.

She was born on Dec. 8, 1925, in Wooster to Benton and Grace (Kaufman) Hay who preceded her in death.  On Sept. 23, 1951, Sarah married Eldon A. Bosse and he passed away on March 14, 2009.

Sarah was a member of the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jenera.  She dedicated her entire life to Jesus Christ.  She worked at Ohio Northern University in the Registrar’s Office.

Sarah H. (Hay) Bosse, age 91, went home to be with the Lord her Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 28, at 8:15a.m. at Vancrest of Ada.

She was born on December 8, 1925 in Wooster to Benton and Grace (Kaufman) Hay who preceded her in death. On September 23, 1951 Sarah married Eldon A. Bosse and he passed away on March 14, 2009.

Helen Winkler was an Ada High School graduate

Helen May Winkler, 90, died Jan. 22, 2017, at Mennonite Memorial Home in Bluffton.  Helen was born May 18, 1926, in New Stark to the late Elmer and Mary (Richards) Agin.  On June 21, 1947, she married Kenneth Winkler who preceded her in death on April 20, 1988.

Helen was a homemaker and had worked as a secretary at Superior Coach in Lima.  She was a member of First Mennonite Church, Bluffton.  Helen was a member of GAB and Century Circle.  She enjoyed crafting, floral arranging, reading and talking and spending time with family and friends.  Helen graduated from Ada High School.

Austin Waller was a 2012 Hardin Northern graduate

Austin D. Waller, 23, died on Monday, Jan. 23, 2017 at his father's residence in Dayton, Ohio.

He was born on January 1, 1994 in Hancock County, Ohio to Carl "Randy" Waller and Susan (Carity) Waller. His father Randy survives in Dayton and his mother and step father Mark and Susan Swearingen survive in Dola.

Austin was a graduate of Hardin Northern High School class of 2012.

Austin is also survived by two sisters: Amber (Jeremy) Crossman of Arlington and Amanda Kay Waller of Dola; two nephews: Sawyer Crossman and Lincoln Crossman; maternal grandmother, Sheila Carity of Lima; paternal grandparents: Susan and Dick Stall of Findlay; numerous aunts and uncles.

Memorial service Jan. 26 for Stoney Shough

Stoney J. Shough, 48, died on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, at his residence in Lima.

He was born on Aug. 29, 1968 in Kenton, Ohio, to Rocky E. and Rhonda (Stephenson) Shough. His father preceded him in death and his mother and step father, Chalmer and Rhonda Rowe survive in Alger.

Stoney worked for Nickles Bakery in Lima.

He was a member of the New Birth Living Word in Alger. He was a 1987 graduate of Upper Scioto Valley High School and Hi-Point Career Center.

Also surviving is a son, Kyle (Desiree) Shough of Kenton; a daughter, Stachia Tillman of Kenton; four grandchildren: Kailer Rodriguez, Owen Shough, Channing Tillman and Saige Wise.
