Outreach efforts result in regional impact

It's all about Ohio Northern University’s College of Pharmacy students

Service learning is an integral component of the college experience for students in the Ohio Northern University College of Pharmacy as part of the University’s emphasis on developing well-rounded students who impact their professions and communities.

“Pharmacy is a profession that is focused on improving the quality of life for individuals. Therefore, it is important that our students gain experiences that allow them to put community service into action,” said Michelle Musser, director of community outreach in the ONU College of Pharmacy.

Over 600 grads receive ONU degrees this month

Ohio Northern University will hold commencement exercises for the Raabe College of Pharmacy as well as undergraduate colleges and the Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) program on Sunday, May 12, in the ONU King-Horn Sports Center. The Pettit College of Law commencement is Sunday, May 19.

Approximately 637 students are earning their degrees this academic year, including 139 from the College of Pharmacy, 62 from the College of Law and 436 from the other three colleges.


The College of Pharmacy commencement exercises will be held at 9 a.m. on May 12.The student speaker is Molly Wheeler of Sylvania.

4 ONU students selected for prestigious Innovation Fellows program

Four Ohio Northern University students have been selected as University Innovation Fellows (UIF) by Stanford University’s Hasso Plattner Institute of Design. The students, who are enrolled in the T.J. Smull College of Engineering, are Anne Major of Okemos, Mich.; Brittney Masters of Millersburg, Ohio; Todd Federici of Findlay, Ohio; and Will Sierzputowski of Columbus, Ohio.

Commemorates landmark moment as Ohio Northern University students earn college degrees

Ohio Northern University will celebrate the crowning achievement in the lives of its students during upcoming commencement exercises in the King-Horn Sports Center Field House. ONU President Daniel DiBiasio will preside over the ceremonies. The Raabe College of Pharmacy and undergraduate colleges, as well as the Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) program, will hold their ceremonies on May 12, and the Pettit College of Law commencement is scheduled for May 19.

Northern Poll results show Trump vulnerable in Ohio

Online poll surveyed 1,505 registed Ohio voters between April 5 and 10

Trump is vulnerable in Ohio if Democrats raise right issue and candidate, according to Ohio Northern University’s “Northern Poll” results

Attached is a snapshot of the survey.

Ohio is a toss-up for the 2020 presidential election, and the Democrats have a good chance to take the pivotal state if they can focus on the right issues and put forward the right candidate.

Those are among the findings of the recent “Northern Poll” conducted by Ohio Northern University.

Holocaust survivor speaks Thursday at ONU

4 p.m. in English Chapel in recognition of Holocaust Day of Remembrance

Conrad Weiner, a Holocaust survivor, will share his story during a talk at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 25, in the English Chapel at Ohio Northern University. 

Weiner is a survivor of the forced labor camp Budi in Transnistria. After a brief occupation of the region by the Soviet Army in 1941, Romanian authorities in alliance with German forces started a massive campaign of annihilation and deportation of Jews to Transnistria.

At 3 1/2 years old, Weiner was forced into a labor camp. After a brief occupation, he and 300 other survivors of the camp were liberated and repatriated to Romania.

The talk is part of the Holocaust Day of Remembrance at ONU.
