Meanwhile, below, if the girls play football, what do the guys do...become the cheerleaders, of course.

Here, Reece Evans (left) and Al Morgan lead the spectators in a cheer during Sunday night's Powder Puff football game at War Memorial Stadium.

It was the 9th and 10th grade girls pitted against the 11th and 12th grade girls in a game organized to raise funds for the Junior Class for prom. The upperclassmen won in a blowout: 61-0.

ONU homecoming king is our own Cortland Everhart

Here's lots of homecoming parade photos - more on the way!

Cort Everhart, Ada High School grad, was crowned ONU Homecoming king Saturday at halftime of the football game. He is the son of Hardin County Sheriff Keith Everhart and his wife Tammy. Katie Kurtz of Toledo was named queen. Both are business majors.

A rousing and spirited ONU Homecoming parade travelled down Main Street on a warm Saturday morning.

The suggestion has been made that Ada change its name to Parade City. In the past 6 weeks, Main Street has seen Farmers and Merchants, Harvest and Herb, and ONU Homecoming parades. Upcoming are the Ada High School

Meet the Icon dog of the week- Drake

Meet Drake. Drake is a 4 year old male pointer mix. He weighs 35 pounds. Can you give Drake his forever home?

To give a dog a forever home, contact the Hardin County dog shelter. It is located at 49 Jones Road on the west side of Kenton.

Hours: 9 am to 4 pm on Monday, Thursday, and Friday. Phone: 419-674-2209.

Generally, about 20 to 25 dogs are available for viewing.

The shelter is also the place to contact for giving up a dog, if you find a lost or stray dog, or if you come in contact with a vicious dog. It costs $20 to surrender a dog, which pays for deworming and immunizations for when it is rescued.
