Three Hardin County babies born in Bluffton Hospital in April

Bluffton Hospital reports the following babies were born from Hardin County residents in April:

April 10 – Asher Gideon Paul Neville, son of Tom and Carrie Neville, Forest, 6 pounds, 7 ounces, 19 ½ inches.

April 14 – Cash Harrison Alger, son of Nick and Jenifer Alger, Ada, 19 inches, 7 pounds, 10 ounces.

April 23 – Briar Marie Davis, daughter of Nate and Antwilla Davis, Kenton, 21 inches, 7 pounds, 13 ounces.

Lots of announcements for Ada HS students

As the 2011-12 school year winds down, several school announcements are making the rounds this week. 

STUDENT COUNCIL:  If you are interested in joining Student Council next year, pick up a petition from Mrs. Smith this week. Signed petitions will need to be returned by Wednesday, May 9.  There are 2 spots open for current 7th graders, 2 spots for current 8th graders, 2 spots for current 9th graders, 3 spots for current 10th graders and 2 spots for current 11th graders.

Darla Crownhart top Century 21 sales associate for 2011

 

Becky Neville, broker/owner of Century 21 Beacon Realty, 208 N. Main St., Ada, announced Darla Crownhart as its top producing sales associates for 2011 based on $30,000-$59,999 Adjusted Gross Commission or 18-23 units. The Silver Sales Achievement Award recognizes Crownhart's outstanding sales production.

It's rehearsal time for Ada first graders.The students are preparing for a first grade musical presentation in May. Two performances are planned. The first at 1:15 p.m. and the second at  at 7 p.m., Thursday, May 3, in the school auditorium.

You graduated from Allen-East, where your dad was (is?) the band director. I assume you played at least one musical instrument -- what did you play? Did your dad teach you? Was it tough having your dad as the director? 

Ada native Charles Binkley resident of the month at Richland Manor

Ada native Charles and his wife, Marjorie, Binkley are the April residents of the month at Richland Manor, according to Barry Schneck, Richland Manor community service representative.

Mr. Binkley was born in 1929 to William and Mary Binkley. He is a graduate of Ada High School. He was employed at the OK Factory in Ada, then started at Triplett and eventually retired from Sylvania. His hobbies are playing the organ and accodion.

Mrs. Binkley was born in 1925 in Putnam County to Harley and Alma Diller. She graduated from Bluffton High School, was employed at Triplett and Crow's Variety Store. She enjoys needlework and reading.
