Red Cross responds to County Road 110 house fire

The American Red Cross North Central Ohio Chapter responded to a fire on County Road 110 near Kenton on Tuesday evening.

The Red Cross provided assistance for the immediate needs of three adults and two children, such as temporary lodging, food and clothing.

They also provided water for the firefighters battling the blaze. “We’re deeply saddened for those who were impacted by this fire,” said Todd James, Executive Director, North Central Ohio Chapter.

“As we continue to help them, we urge everyone to take steps to minimize the risk of a fire occurring in their home.”

One person dead in Mt. Victory accident

One person died in a two-vehicle accident at 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 25, on South Main Street (SR 31), Mt. Victory, according to the Hardin County Sheriff's office.

The sheriff's report follows:
At 7 p.m., Tuesday, June 25, the sheriff received a 911 call reporting a two vehicle crash on South Main, State Route 31, Mt. Victory.

Upon arrival, deputies found a south-bound commercial vehicle had collided with a north-bound passenger vehicle.

The driver of the commercial truck, Maurice Hale of Detroit, was not injured. The driver of the passenger car, Annie Li Yang of Lansing, Michigan, was deceased at the scene.
