Counterfeit bills passed in Bluffton businesses

FROM BLUFFTON ICON - Rick Skilliter, Bluffton police chief, informed The Icon of persons passing counterfeit bills in Bluffton businesses.

• Over the weekend several counterfeit $50 bills were cashed in at businesses along State Route 103. The men using these counterfeit bills were making small purchases requiring large amounts of change.

• On Tuesday evening someone purchased a pet dog via Craig's List.The payment and exchange for the pet were conducted in a parking lot of a SR 103 business.

$1,000 reward for stolen Yamaha

This vehicle was taken from a garage on Lehr Avenue, Ada, sometime between Saturday night to Sunday morning, Oct. 17-18.

It is silver with red around the rims. Reward; $1,000. Persons with information contact Kelly Bolin, 567-825-2217.

Charges pending in marijuana seizure case

On Aug. 17 the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office received an anonymous call stating a marijuana plant was visible from the roadway at 16722 TR 119, southwest of the City of Kenton.

Sheriff’s Deputies along with the Hardin County Crime Task Force responded and confirmed the plant to be marijuana.

The residents were contacted and a search of the property revealed several other marijuana plants on the property. A grow room was also located inside of the residence where several more marijuana plants were also seized.

In all 13.05 pounds of marijuana as well as several items used in the cultivation process were confiscated from the property.

Video camera catches two break into laundromat Pepsi machine

Ada Police seek the public's help in identifying two people involved in the break-in of the Pepsi machine at the laundromat on Ada’s South Main Street, according to Michael Harnishfeger, police chief.

At approximately 1:30 a.m. on July 5 two white males entered the laundry mat. They cut the lock off of the machine and then used keys to open the pop machine.
