Ada service department employee Rob Mix spent Friday locating water services in preparation for upcoming storm sewer improvements in Ada this spring.

Mix then marked each spot with blue paint and/or blue flags, color-coded to indicate "water." 

Green flags and paint indicate "sewer," while yellow indicates "gas."

Maybe you should watch the birdie

Ada grain farmers year will be challenging

Grain farmers will have a challenging year in 2016 according to most forecasts. A large 2015 crop and weak world demand for grain has diminished the chance of significant increases in grain prices for the short term.

Farmers will try to reduce costs, but in many situations not enough reduction to offset low grain prices. Thus profit margins may be tight in the coming year.

Ada grade cards going home April 1 (no fooling)

Loyts of events take place at Ada Schools this month. Here's an update from the school website.

DATES TO REMEMBER:
April 1 - Grade cards sent home in homeroom at end of day
April 1 - Seniors - All Ada Local Scholarship Applications Due

DRAMA CLUB: is looking for extra’s and set crew for the high school play. A lighting board operator and sound board operator are also needed. Anyone interested should see Peg. Gordon, Amy Stover or Alissa Schlacter.

Ada Music Boosters fundraiser has something for you

Back by popular demand, the Ada Music Boosters are kicking off a spring fundraisers to help raise $5,000.

The funds will be used to hire a choreographer for Varsity Singers, as well as to fund travel expenses and a replacement trailer for use by all music groups.  The detergent sale is designed to help you save money on things you normally buy anyway!

The detergent sale features several varieties of detergents and fabric softeners, including those formulated for high efficiency washing machines.
