99 models walk the runway during Festival of Trees style show

Ninety-nine models, including ONU’s own Miss Minnesota, walked the runway at McIntosh Center for a good cause on Nov. 18.

Community Health Professional’s Glitz and Glimmer Style Show, part of this year’s Festival of Trees, put on the show, which featured models showing clothes from 15 area retailers.

Deb Curlis, show director, moved the event from CHP’s to McIntosh this year as it outgrew its space last year.

Reichart's host to Thursday cash mob

The Buy Ada First Committee is having a cash mob at Reichart's, 111-113 S. Main St., from 3-5 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 20.

The cash mob takes place at one of Ada’s most prominent retai stores.

"Fred Reichert welcomed our invitation to host the cash mob. Fred hosted the first-ever cash mob in Ada back in October of 2012,” said Heather Cox, member of the committee.
Cox said that to make the cash mob even more inviting to customers, Reichert’s will offer 10 percent off all items purchased during the cash mob.

On Nov. 8, residents of Ada celebrated the grand opening of Simply Torn, a new shop on Main Street.

It was a warm welcome for Jamie Burger, who counted 150 tickets in the drawing she offered and completely sold out of scarves and fleece leggings by 1 p.m.

Liberty Township "raining" capital of Hardin County

The most rainfall recorded during the growing season was 25.16 inches in Liberty Township by Phil Epley.  Blanchard Township was close behind with 25.13 inches as reported by Crop Production Services.
