ONU junior Andrew Markell of Missouri City, Tex. has been named the Men's Lacrosse Ohio Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
Markell led the Polar Bears (8-1 overall) to a convincing 10-2 victory over OAC-foe Mount Union.
He started in the goal for the first time this season and led a defensive gem for Northern.
