Many people suffer from various rashes to their hands. We use our hands in countless ways throughout the day, so itchy, painful and sometimes blistering or cracked skin on our hands can have a huge impact on our daily activities. Fortunately, there are solutions.
This note from the ONU Facebook:
"Even though Carol Channing wasn't an ONU alumna, she will always be a Polar Bear in our hearts.
"Ms. Channing performed the first concert at ONU's Freed Center for the Performing Arts on April 27, 1991, and absolutely knocked it out of the park.
Apart from her obvious talent, she was an incredibly kind and thoughtful person, even sending us personal Christmas cards after her one visit to Ada. Thank you, Ms. Channing!"
Ms. Channing died at 12:31 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019, at home in Rancho Mirage, California, of natural causes.
While Ada students have no school on Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Day, several events are planned next week. Here are some of those from the Ada school website:

BOOK CLUB: We will meet Tuesday, Jan. 22, during lunch. Selection this month is a book that has been turned in to a movie. Snacks will be provided. See Mrs. Smith with any questions.
Otterbein defeated ONU men’s and women’s basketball teams this week. Both stories follow:
Men’s game
Senior Daniel Donner (Bellville/Northmor) had a career-high 23 points and senior All-American Ryan Bruns (Chickasaw/Marion Local) flirted with a triple-double, but Otterbein made 18 3-pointers en route to a 92-78 victory over the Ohio Northern men's basketball team on Wednesday evening at the Rike Center.
The Polar Bears fall to 4-12 overall and are 0-9 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, while the Cardinals are now 5-11, 2-7.

Join Hancock Park District staff on Sunday, Jan. 20, at 1:30 p.m. at Oakwoods Nature Preserve’s Discovery Center for “Conjunction of Venus and Jupiter.” This means the two planets will have the same celestial longitude or be really close to each other in the night sky. The Moon will also be in the waning gibbous phase.
