STUDENTS WHO PLANTED ARBOR DAY SEEDLINGS

The Village of Ada Tree Commission seeks prior third grade students from Ada Elementary School who received a tree as a part of an Arbor Day Celebration.

If you received a tree and planted it and you and the tree have grown up we would love to see your photos. Even if it’s only been a couple of years since you received your tree, we would love to see your photos.

We also encourage any current third graders who recently planted the tree they received on Arbor Day to send us pictures with you and your seedling. Please send pictures and information to Michele Brunk at [email protected].

Drug disposal is free and open to the public. Bring items in sealed bags. Accepted medications: over-the-counter pills, prescriptions, opioids. Cannot accept needles & liquids.

Shredding is free and open to anyone living in the community. Items to shred: Personal documents, check stubs, credit card offers, receipts, paper items containing personal info

SPECIAL COUNCIL AND PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE

The Village of Ada will hold a SPECIAL COUNCIL AND PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS PROPOSED SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE INTERSECTION OF BUCKEYE AVENUE AND MAIN STREET BY MAKING BUCKEYE ONE-WAY TRAFFIC TRAVELING EAST FROM GILBERT STREET TO JOHNSON STREET  AND A PROPOSED CHANGE TO ANGLE PARKING.

The meeting will take place Tuesday, June 13, 2023, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Community Health Professionals Building, 1200 S. Main St., Ada 

This meeting will be held for the purpose of discussion and receiving public input on changing Buckeye Avenue starting at N Gilbert through the Main Street intersection and continuing to N Johnson from two-way traffic to one-way traffic traveling in an easterly direction. The discussion will also include angle and reverse angle parking for the two-block area. The meeting will include information from the Ada Police Department, Traffic study information from Choice One Engineering and estimated cost for the project.

THE PUBLIC IS WELCOMED AND ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND
