Effective June 3, Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS), including Bluffton Hospital, will allow one visitor at a time for most patients. Daily visitation hours will be from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
One designated visitor, age 16 or older, will be permitted to accompany inpatients at all BVHS locations as well as accompany patients to clinic appointments.
Patients may have a guest accompany them for outpatient and testing services as well, however BVHS encourages guests to wait in their vehicle. Once a visitor leaves for the day, re-entry is not permitted. Visitors and guests will not be allowed in areas such as nursing home facilities and Orchard Hall (behavioral health).

It is up to each of us to do what we can to keep each other safe and choose to keep six feet of social distance, wear masks, and maintain good hand hygiene.” said Governor DeWine.

Ada Icon viewers who watched Gov. Mike DeWine's daily briefing earlier this week may have noticed a subtle Ohio Northern University shout-out in the video the governor played at the conclusion of the briefing.
A shot of the Ohio Northern University sign located in front of Lehr Memorial made its way into a music video for the bluegrass band Joe Mullens and Radio Ramblers.
The video, which was created by Eric Porter, a 2009 ONU alum, director of visual communications for the Ohio Attorney General's Office, contains shots from around the state, but oddly, from no other colleges or universities.

The word “culture” is defined as the customary beliefs, social forms and material traits of a racial, religious or social group. In more basic language, it’s the values and norms a group of people choose to follow as they coexist. Not unlike humans, a culture can suffer illness too. Current events prove the point.
