Open for business

The Ada Pool opened Saturday on a hot and muggy day, just the kind of day the staff was hoping for. Lorna Sparr is manager this year. She is pictured sitting on the refurbished slide. Other staff members include Cassie Collins, assistant manager; Katey Stuart, assistant manager; Michaela Guyton, senior lifeguard. The pool will be open from 1 to 8 p.m. daily, with a midnight swim every Tuesday beginning at 8 p.m. General admission is $3. Red Cross swim lessons will be held July 11-22. (Monty Siekerman photo)
