Teaching swimmers for 48 years

Sandy Neely has been helping kids learn to swim for 48 years. Yes, 48 years. Swim lessons began this week, and will continue next week, at the Ada pool for 65 people who registered. Sandy, who was named Citizen of the Year in Ada last fall, is director of the Hardin County Red Cross Learn to Swim program. She has helped people learn to swim elsewhere and, since 1974, in Ada. She has 18 helpers this year. (Monty Siekerman photo)
